Iris is the name of my Partner in Marriage. The function of a blog is a public diary.
Part of my private diary is public to-day.
You'll understand from the small print that I hush this. There are some details to give a clearer picture that
look commercial. Well, It is commercial
at the end, but nothing serious.
She left the house at 6 am to work with giprock to build a wall that divides a large art studio space in 2.
The studio
for daytime artwork use will be rented-out.
She left there 3 hours later, at 9 am. She went on a paper-delivery route for Ottawa-West News, for free
to
keep her in good shape, yes even on minus 25 days.
She went back to the studio to go over work with Mike who most kindly helps to do the building-job and while
he is at work, Iris continues on her paper-delivery route.
She comes by the house to have lunch, check the mail and dispatch e-mails. Before that a mountain
of laundry
is being put through cycles. Then the last delivery part.
There are rather large puddles forming around the house, so they should be cleared-away.
She commits to that job
and by force of handling a sturdy sweeper clears it all.
4 pm and Iris is pleased with my cup of TEA. I know that she is still a very
young, enchanting, adorable, witty, accurate young being. 4 p.m. is already 10 hours after stretching all the limbs -why do men not have those legs? to do work.
Then after
tea, accounting-time. She is the Treasurer of the Canadian Women's Press Club, now called "Media Club." Quite a tough job it seems at times, yet entirely voluntary, to keep her mind sharp and connect with good writers.
We had a leisurely dinner together. Then more Media Club work needed updating. A good day all together, mild weather. It is 11:40 pm. Iris is still not in sight. I wonder how many -keeping my backwards
writing in mind, look like her...
